Deedz Costume Contest 2026: Official Rules & Privacy

No purchase necessary. Entering costs nothing and doesn't make winning more likely.

1. Who runs it

The contest is run by Deedz (deedz.org), "we" below. Questions: use the deedz.org contact form.

2. Dates

Entries open when the "Enter the Costume Contest" button appears on deedz.org/CostumeAnalyzer and close on November 7, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Winners will be contacted by November 21, 2026.

3. Who can enter

Anyone, anywhere the contest is legal. Each entry must be submitted by an adult (18 or older). If anyone in the photo is under 18, the entry must be submitted by their parent or legal guardian. Deedz team members may enter for fun but can't win.

4. How to enter

Use the Costume Analyzer at deedz.org/CostumeAnalyzer, then tap "Enter the Costume Contest", fill in the form and tick the agreement box. Ticking it confirms that you are 18 or older (or the parent or guardian of everyone in the photo), that you agree to these rules, and that we may email you about the contest and any prize. Up to 5 entries per person (different costumes or photos). Every entry is automatically in the Grand Prize (best overall costume), and you can pick up to 3 more: Scariest, Funniest, Most Creative, Best Homemade (DIY), Best Classic Monster, Best Pop Culture Character, Cutest Little Monster (for kids 12 and under), Best Group or Family, Best Pet, and Showstopper (Most Glamorous).

5. What's allowed

This is a family-friendly contest. Photos must be of a real costume, taken by you or with permission of everyone shown, with nothing hateful, violent, sexual, or otherwise unsuitable for kids. We may remove or disqualify any entry that breaks these rules, and we don't have to say why.

6. How winners are picked

The Deedz team judges every entry by people, not by the AI. Judging is on creativity, effort, how well the costume fits the category, and overall fun. The analyzer's guess does not count toward the result. Judges' decisions are final.

7. Prizes

Prizes are recognition only. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged. One prize per person per category.

8. Public gallery, voting and winners

Entries appear in the public gallery at deedz.org/CostumeAnalyzer/vote.html only if the entrant ticked "Show my photo in the public gallery" when entering and the Deedz team has approved the entry. The gallery shows the photo, the analyzer's guess, the categories entered and a first name or nickname only, never a full name, email, phone number or social media link. Anyone can vote for their favorite costume once a day until November 14, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Votes are a fan favorite signal that the judges may look at; they don't pick the winners, the judges do (see section 6), and vote counts aren't shown publicly.

We'll email winners by November 21, 2026. If a winner doesn't reply within 14 days, we may pick another winner. A winner's photo appears on the winners board only if they ticked the gallery box when entering; otherwise we list the category and a first name or nickname only, with the winner's OK.

9. Your photo and details (privacy)

10. The fine print

By entering you confirm the photo is yours to share and that everyone shown (or their parent or guardian) agrees. You keep the rights to your photo; you allow Deedz to use it for judging and, only if you agreed, to show it in the public gallery and on the winners board. We may change, pause or cancel the contest if something outside our control prevents running it fairly. Void where prohibited.
